Yesterday was the first All-American Rejects concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom, and I must say: IT WAS FUCKING GORGEOUS! I even had VIP tickets for the Soundcheck Party where I got to meet them and talk to them and get things signed and hug them and fucking ahhhhhhmazing. I was so happy, though pissed because the security people made us go all the way outside to like the middle of the line to get in. But whatever, I fought my way to the front.

Opening Bands: Gym Class Heroes, The Format and The Starting Line.

Gym Class Heroes were AMAZING. They brought the energy up so high it was fucking #@$%$#% I LOVED THE MASCOT! Haha.

The Format…kind of sucked. They weren’t bad but they really didn’t do much with the audience and had a boring show. The songs were really neat.

The Starting Line, ooohhh man were they great. Such good songs. Such good interaction. It was wonderful. I loved them. They ended with Best of Me, a classic, haha.

And now…MY FAVORITE BAND ALL AMERICAN REJECTS

They were phenomenal! Their theme “Tornado” was great. They had a large screen in the back and then many screen boxes in front playing clips too. It was so great. Coming on, holy shit!

I can’t remember the line-up completely. I just know that they played: Dirty Little Secrets, Top of the World, Swing Swing, Paper Heart, Can’t Take It, Straitjacket Feeling, It Ends Tonight, Dance Inside, Happy Ending, Night Drive, The Last Song, Move Along. And they’re un-released performance was Eyelash Wishes.

I totally loved the performance, I have some clips. I’m still ecstatic from it. Though there was an awkward moment. There was this guy behind me, not bad looking but during AAR’s performance there was clearly something rubbing against me that shouldn’t have. It was odd. I don’t think that with AAR. So yes, very odd.

But everything was great. Wonderful. I love them. I want to go again. AHHHHHH!
