There’s a Mutiny Stormin’

FIT thinks that the ending of my social security number is 2 when it’s really 3, problem? I’d say so. Over the weekend I need to go find the SUNY number, call them to change it, then the FIT number, call them to change it. Meh. I feel like it’s going to make me look like a retard. I don’t want that, so -shakes fist- grrr!–Brandon got internet back in his japan-home. We’ll see how this affects things :x

In a week from friday, I have to hand in one-hundred twenty yearbook pages to JOSTENS, in order to make a doubled-up deadline. O u c h h h …, especially since we only have a good…fifteen done? I’m trying to piece toget, just how, how in god’s name did we get this far backed up. We have two major sections that are to form up this deadline. The section dedicated to seniors and then the section for fall sports. I’ve made the superlative pages and the portraits are almost done, just a matter of determining what type of background and where other packages will go. That’s about 30+ pages just on those two sections, not including the other pages for seniors. The sports, are a disaster, as they are every year. Some pages only have copy on them, others don’t have anything. There’s possible four sports completed and submitted. But the rest, oh dear god. Let there be a miracle, please? Pretty…pretty please?

I got into an argument with the photography adviser. She wanted me to color balance the superlative pictures, something that I have an idea about and could do it, but that would take longer than if she did it. I had other pages to work on, as well as going from student to student to solve little problems. Something she wasn’t doing. I asked if she would, she said it wasn’t her job, I said stop being lazy, and it went downhill from there. My main adviser had to come in to stop us.

Then as I was coming up with ideas for the senior portraits, they weren’t taking hold and were saying other ideas instead. Once the photography adviser left, I talked with my main adviser telling her that the majority of this book hasn’t been student designed. Yes, I made the graphics or my sister did but the concepts, the themes, colors, pictures even, have been decided by them: main adviser, photography adviser, copy adviser. It was discouraging and that’s why lately I haven’t been eager to throw out ideas, not to mention I absolutely HATE the theme. International. What the fuck…? So I told her that the advisers’ job is to make sure things are appropriate and that we’re working. Not design the book. Their book is over.

She wasn’t really happy with that.

I’m relieved from what my teachers have told me of my grade, all are in range of my GPA so I shouldn’t drop too much and I’m hoping that maybe it will even raise it up a bit. We shall see in a week or two.

I got word from Bry’s sister, she said he’s doing alright with this treatment and that they’ve managed to get rid of the tumor without harm once again. They’re unsure whether or not it will reform or not, I hope not. It’s got to be painful. -shakes fist- The docs said they’re unsure how long his treatment will go, but he’ll have to stop going to college in a few months once the kemo picks up.

I’m relieved to an extent. May he just be safe and sound.
