I talked with a newly made friend, her name is Valeriana. She’s going to be attending Parsons next year and she’s coming all the way from Singapore. I think she’s really pretty and she’s so cute haha =) if she reads this she might hit me =x In any case, we were talking about the upcoming year and how excited we were and about everyone else and such.

We stumbled across one person that we’re amazed by and she suggested that I befriend him and I mentioned how I get nervous / anti-social near “pretty boys”. And oh dear, oh dear do I think he is pretty haha. Anyway, we stumbled upon that and we asked ourselves: Why is that?

It’s our low self-image.

I hate having a low self-image. Both of us being Asian, we both had something in common. The fact that we thought we were second-class / instantly-ugly because of our race, perhaps she doesn’t feel it to the extent I do, but I used to think for the longest time that I was ugly. Obviously that’s not true, I wouldn’t have boys flocking to me…right?

There isn’t a lot of substance to this entry, I just wanted to get that out. And to tell everyone that you’re beautiful and you shouldn’t let society dictate it. It’s like Christina Aguilera says in her song:
