“It is human nature to wander the world in search for something or someone that will fill the void within them. The majority of us will never truly find that one thing or person that makes us complete in our lives, at least not during our prime years. Why is that…do you wonder? It is because we as a people cannot fully appreciate or understand everything and everyone around us until the last few minutes of our lives, that one moment where every single thing and person comes into play in that sudden flashback of life. It is in that flashback do we truly see that all along, there have been several things and people that make us complete, but because we are in this search for that one thing or person that is greater than everything and everyone, that we do not see this.”
How true that statement is, at least I think so. I know in me I am searching for someone that makes me complete, and I often feel that I have had them all along. Just knowing me though, I’m never satisfied for a long time. In any case, just a food for thought.

I’ve somehow managed to screw things up, resulting in me losing my prom date. So now I’m on my prom hunt, yet again. This is horrible, especially since the big day is coming up…in like a month?

I had my Spring Concert, which went smoothly. I was amazed by how well we performed, granted there were a few mistakes but I suppose that just can’t be helped. Brandon came to see it, he even got me flowers. It’s the first concert I’ve gotten flowers from. Heh. Second time getting flowers from anyone.

Tyler’s moving this week, to NYC. Isn’t that something? I’m so stoked on seeing him…there’s so much I want to do and say and see. Oh, I really just can’t wait. It’ll be amazing, I’m sure of it.

On a side note, the new Linkin Park album is amazing. It’s completely different from what people expected, but I think it’s phenomenal. I love the lyrics and the new sound! And yes, I BOUGHT the CD. One of the few artists that I’ll buy and not pirate from. Though I’ve never pirated before…

I came home last night to quite possibly one of the greatest e-mails I could EVER receive. It made my horrible day into the best day, and everything is just looking so bright for me.
Hi Kris,
I received your father’s tax return - thank you. I am pleased to inform you that Big Guy Foundation will be awarding you a grant sufficient to cover the remainder of your tuition and room & board at Parsons. We will also give you $1,200 for books and supplies. Do you have a laptop? If not, we can increase the award to cover that as well - please let me know. A formal grant award will be going out in the next couple of weeks but I wanted to give you the good news now.
Enjoy the rest of the school year -
xxxxxxxxx (for protection)
Isn’t that…like…fucking amazing? I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO COLLEGE! Boo yah!

I don’t think people are put here to complete eachother, if they were then everyone would be with someone and it’s just not the case. The best you can hope for is to complete yourself, once you’re alright on your own, I think it’ll be easier to meet and be with someone and be comfortable. ( P.S. I didn’t mean “you”, I meant the collective you, lol. )

Once you quit looking, that’s when you find that special person.

Wow, congratulations! That is one of the most fabulous emails I think I’ve ever read!
I think people have to truly try to be fulfilled. What will “complete” them, though, changes with each person. For me, my husband makes me a better person, and he makes me happy. He filled the place in my life that he was perfect to fill, and he makes me very happy. However, now I feel like I’m missing other things (not because of him, but in spite of him), but little by little we find out what we need and we go for it, and that’s the whole point of living.

I don’t really think that you need someone to complete you. As long as you have the will to you can really complete yourself.
Oh and thats totally kick ass dude. I’m glad you got the e-mail from them.

I remember being a fan of Linkin Park years ago, but since my taste in music changed, I barely listen to them anymore. Seeing that you have a positive comment about their latest album, I might try listening to them whenever I have the time.
Nice! I’d love to get an email like that too. I hope… *wishful thinking*
