It’s been a while since I last typed an entry up and I ask for forgiveness to those that read, I’m probably one of the worst bloggers you know (though to give myself credit, at least I am updating). I’ve been busy with life and a lot of the things that have happened have drained away my will to write, create and procreate. Yes, I do mean procreate.
Let me just say that this is the first post on ‘Faraway Words’ on a macbook pro. I recently purchased a 17″ high-res vroom widescreen matte 2GB RAM 160GB @ 7200rpm macbook pro and it’s so gwarsh darn pretty. I’m in love with almost every aspect of it, the only part I hate is that I haven’t fully converted from a PC yet so I still have PC tendencies. But other than that, it’s a loverly machine and I can see why so many designers recommend mac over pc. The unfortunate part is that I am ADOBE-less until sometime in July/August I believe. So that’s the -tear tear-
Graduation is around the corner and I can hardly wait. I had rehearsal today (tuesday) and was able to get my tickets, cap, gown, sash and cord. It was spiffy and I saw some people I haven’t seen in a while, I mean couple of years to several months to several weeks. It was nice to catch up.
WISE will be the death of me! I have my final presentation tomorrow and I’m almost sure I’m going to fail. I have 62 hours of out 100 hours needed, 18 journal entries out of 60 entries needed, 4 out of 4 articles needed and 3 out of 3 interviews needed. Truth is, I wasn’t there enough to gain 100 hours or write 60 entries…the only plus side is that ZimEd is offering me a summer job. It pays well and the hours are decent, so I figure why not?
Prom is on thursday and I’m somewhat stoked for it somewhat scared to death just because I’m not sure how everything is going and whether I have made proper accommodations for it. Aye…we’ll see, we’ll see.

We all want to have someone to be there when we need, preferably sleeping beside us holding us closely but loosely, breathing softly but loud enough for us to hear it just barely, warm and soft as he or she can be. We all long to find that one person that you can place your entire trust in and just fall on without a second thought.
These thoughts came to me when I read the sweetest lines off a profile…
Smell his hair. pick him up and pretend you’re going to throw him in the pool…he’ll scream & fight you but secretly, he’ll love it. hold his hand while you talk. hold his hand while you drive. just hold his hand. tell him he looks beautiful. look him in the eyes when you talk to him. protect him. tell him stupid jokes. tickle him, even if he says stop. slow dance with him. when he starts swearing at you, tell him you love him. let him fall asleep in your arms. get him mad, then kiss him. tease him. Let him tease you back. stay up with him when he’s sick. kiss his forehead. let him wear your clothes. go slow. dont push anything. kiss him in the rain. and when you fall in love with him, tell him.
…it was from the profile of a rather attractive guy who seems to be quite the playboy and tease amongst others. Seeing that though kind of just makes me say to myself that everyone’s looking for true love, even those that seem to play around with others. I’m not calling this guy a player, at least not anymore, he doesn’t sound like the type to do that now.

And I am planning on taking away the AJAX from this layout because my servers don’t run AJAX so well.

I am so in need of a new laptop. Well not really, mine still works really good and is only like 2 years old, but I want one. I’ve been thinking about getting a MAC my self.

I am insanely jealous of your new MacBook Pro. I want one too. Or any type of new computer to replace this worthless thing I am forced to use :/
Hmpf, I am also a bit envious because of the prom. We don’t have things like that in Finland. It’s all just ballroom dancing for us in Highs School :’(

Ah, I want a Macbook! Well, I want a new computer period.
I remember prom. It was nice. And to think that I wasn’t going to go…have fun! You’re supposed to anyway.

I’m glad you like your new computer and are enjoying it. I don’t like Windows at all and have been dying to get a Mac - I’m sure that day will come soon enough.
Good luck with graduation, I’ve been out of school for two weeks already.

It’s so easy to get out of habit of blogging, so I totally understand where you’re coming from. I’ve been thinking about converting to Mac because I’ve heard that is better for designers. It’s good to hear you another person say that because it makes me want to get one even more.
I hope that your graduation and prom go well. I bet it will all be a blast, but probably also a relief to get over with, so I wish you the best of luck.

I remember that quote is posted on friendster before, only that, it is for girls. All the he’s are replaced with she’s. lol. I find it really sweet as well.
I hope you can finish all the assigned tasks for you. take care.

OMG I so want a mac — everyone I know recommends them over PCs any way, and apparently the video-editing software is to die for…
(Not that I even know what the video editing software on a mac is called, so I can’t even buy it while I’m waiting to win the lottery…!)
Okay, so maybe that’s a little am-dram, but you get the drift.
Found ya through despair, but this site’s definetly worth a returning visit!!

Macs are cool, but I was always a little weary about buying one. I have not used one since elementary school and would have to buy different software, hardware, etc. I saw a promo on the website for students which seemed kind of cool: if you purchase a iBook and a Nano, you will get a full rebate in the mail for the Nano.
I hope you had fun at your prom and your graduation went well!! My graduation was on 21 June and school ended on 20 June; but it seemed as if every school around me was finished with classes a week or two before my school was.
Your layout is cool, by the way. =)

I love the thing the guy wrote in his profile. It’s really sweet, and probably true. If only I could find someone that I could be with…
Anyways, I’m very jealous of you MacBook. I’ve always wanted one, but my dad hates Mac for some reason, so he won’t let me get one until I can afford all of it, which I can’t. So yes, I’m very excited for you. Hope graduation goes/went well!

That Macbook Pro sounds awesome. Probably would get one if it weren’t for the fact that I’m holding out for a tablet pc which must be the most expensive type of notebook there is :/ But that screen functionality would be awesome… Congratulations on graduating [or near graduating] and that is quite the interesting quote..

thats a very nice excerpt from someones profile..
very very sweet..
i guess youre graduating from highschool? Or college?

I’ve never used Mac, and i have no idea why it can be better. The only advantage as i know it has, you cannot get any virus, But as long as you use good untispy program (kaspersky is the best one for far) your computer is gonna be ok. Well anyway, best wishes to you!!

laptop > pc M-HMMM, but i can’t say much coming from a pc user. adobe-less i can say i’ve been there and it’s not fun, but you’ll survive and that little paragraph thing was cute.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Macintosh! I am in love with all of their products.
I hope prom and graduation go well and I love your layout! The All-American Rejects are awesome!
16 Kecia Jul 11, 2007 at 10:00 pm
Congratulations on your recent purchase! I haven’t used Mac’s that much, but I’ve heard they are very good…sometimes better than a PC.
Good luck on your project, graduation, and prom!
17 Yoru Jul 12, 2007 at 9:30 am
What can I say nothing except “I’m jealous of your MacBook!”.
18 Corinne Jul 12, 2007 at 12:38 pm
I have to admit that I secretly covet a Mac, although, I doubt I would ever get one. I know that most things that work for a pc now work for a mac, but I just like the thought that I could walk down the street to get something that I need for my laptop, or get someone to help me fix it within minutes, as opposed to trying to find out how/where/when I can get a mac fixed.

You had a lot going on. Hope graduation went smoothly. The girl in front of me was uber popular, so when they announced my name, everyone was still cheering for her and nobody could hear me.
But that’s okay. I just wanted to get the hell out of there!

Hey there! Well congrats on the laptop, seems quite nice! Awh, I hope that your graduation was great! Catching up with people is always nice :] I hope your prom went well as well. Anyways, take care!

I hope that your graduation was okay!
I like the thoughts you wrote down… sweet phrases

Congrats on the new laptop.
I’m afraid of Mac & Windows Vista,
maybe I should be a caveman , or cave woman lol.
Maybe things will have a different outlook in that class , you never know. = )
23 Crystal Aug 6, 2007 at 10:17 pm
Wow you haven’t updated in quite a while! You should really blog again you know? How was graduation? Congrats on the new comp!
24 Charity Aug 7, 2007 at 2:45 pm
I want to get a notebook, but I don’t want a mac. I don’t know why, but I’m not a fan of mac. LOL
25 Kecia Aug 8, 2007 at 1:06 pm
I’ve already commented, so all I can say is…You really should update soon!!!
26 Maria Aug 12, 2007 at 10:19 pm
That sounds like a pretty sweet MacBook. I’m thinking if I ever upgrade, I could go to a Macbook or just another Sony. =P
(I’d comment on the rest, but it seems a bit irrelevant now. Lol)
27 Sarah Aug 14, 2007 at 5:48 pm
Wow graduation sounds so exciting and your prom! I hope you have/had fun!
28 Sarah Aug 16, 2007 at 3:09 pm
Hope your graduation and prom were amazing!! Those were the two most memorable days for me in all of my high school years. They were also the best days as well.
I felt so accomplished and happy to have gotten far.
Your new MacBook sounds very lovely indeed!! Congrats to you for getting it.
