Psalm of Sin

April 17, 2005
Kristopher Louie

I see, yes I can see-
heed the words of this old man:
doom approaches
it knows not fear
it shows not mercy

God forgive us, the wretched
We know not what we have done.
Children of the wretched,
reep what you have sown.
This world of ours,
crumbles before our eyes.
The angels cry
hands of chaos reach out.
Innocence which sheltered us,
slained by our own hands.
Mercy upon the souls,
who have blood on them.
Blinded by own passions,
these sins, too heavy to carry.
God forgive us, the damned
We know not what we have done.
Children of the damned,
death awaits your tainted soul.
This world is crumbling,
from the weight of our sins.
The angels weep
praying to keep us unscathed.
Innocence, our faithful guardian,
forgotten by those you protected.
Mercy upon us all,
the day of atonement comes.
Blinded by own passions,
these sins, too heavy to carry.
God forgive us,
God forgive us,
God forgive us…

It comes ever so fast
the army of Heaven
Mark the bells as warning
flee with prayers on lips
Innocent, Guilty
none will be spared
